Education

A variety of services are offered to alumni and collegiate members of the Fraternity, which in turn translates to services to local communities. The Iota Pi Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. has consistently exhibited its commitment to education for over 30-years in the Spartanburg Community.

2022 Academic Scholarship

The Spartanburg Sigma Brotherhood is proud to offer two (2) five-hundred-dollar ($500) scholarship(s) to young men graduating in the class of 2022.

Requirements

Hold a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
Be a Male.
Represent a minority demographic.
Exemplify the principles of scholarship & service.

Adopt-A-School

The Adopt-A-School component is designed to get Sigma men into the schools in your community, working with teachers and principals to assist students in improving their knowledge, skills academically and build student literacy.

Scholarships

The scholarship component is designed to have Sigma grow its impact in the area of assisting with the cost of education at both the high school and college levels through the awarding of scholarships at both levels.

Education Advancement

Advancement programs include providing scholarships, conferences, college fairs, mentoring and tutoring at local, regional and national levels.

Oratorical & Debate

Debaters will review articles, research debate tactics and properly prepare for an informed intelligent dialogue.
